I entered the music industry via retail at an independent record shop in Newcastle, there I was introduced to sales reps from major labels and independent distribution and eventually moved into sales with Universal, covering the North East and then the Midlands, I then got a job at Go! Discs, based in London, doing regional radio, press and retail promotion when that closed I moved to Mercury Records as a product manager, then back into the independent sector with Palm Pictures (owned by Chris Blackwell of Island Records) and then to Yep Roc and Redeye Worldwide Distribution.
