David Mcginnis

David McGinnis is the Managing Director of Mute Song, a music publisher focused on composers and artists creating original, innovative and challenging music. Mute Song is the sister company of Mute Records.

McGinnis joined Mute Song as Head of Licensing in 1999 and was appointed Managing Director of the company in 2014.

Prior to joining Mute Song, David McGinnis worked at PPL and MCPS where he gained an intimate understanding of the legal and technical foundations of music rights management and exploitation.

David was born and raised in Canada and has lived in London for over thirty years.
